For 108 years, the Wesley United Methodist Church building has served both the parish and the Ironwood, MI community. In 2017, one of the original ceiling/roof trusses broke, and detailed engineering inspections revealed that some others are bending. Shoring scaffolding is in place, and the replacement of the broken truss and reinforcement of the rest will begin in a matter of weeks. While the Wesley congregation has paid the costs for the shoring and engineering ($45,000), the costs of completing the actual repairs now loom ahead.
