“So,  each one think of us in this way - as Messiah’s helpers and stewards of the mysteries of God.”
(First Corinthians 4:1, Tree of Life Version)

YES! WE CELEBRATE WITH YOU IN JOYFUL TIMES.

  • Baby Showers, Adoptions, Blended Family Covenants
  • BAPTISMS (in Sanctuary, at home or outdoors surrounded by the natural sacredness of Creation) offered for infants to elderly, this Sacrament pledges elders for shepherding youngsters and symbolizes restoration as vibrancy of spiritual rebirth.
  • WEDDINGS and Blessings of Engagement and Renewal of Vows - we’ll assist from planning through Receptions!  Our Sanctuaries are  open for all.  Or, ask us to Officiate at your home, venue, beach, park or snowy slope.  We do not insist upon a format of premarital Preparation, but will be pleased to tailor a plan of counseling, when asked.  Your Gifts fund the many ministries of our Church.

YES! WE WILL WALK WITH YOU IN TROUBLED TIMES.

  • FUNERALS ARE ALWAYS PRIORITIES FOR US and we open our church doors for Services or bring our Faith to stand with you graveside or at a location which is right for you.  We will connect you with musicians and include your thoughts and poems and speakers in the Order of Worship.  We share our facilities for Homegoing Receptions.  There is no fee for Funerals.  Your Gifts fund the many ministries of our Church.  Don’t be too shy to invite us to bring a candle and share a prayer as you bury a beloved pet!
  • PASTORAL CARE - there is never a charge for faith-based counseling and referrals for the crises of your life; ask for visits and prayers (perhaps Communion) during illness, treatments, recovery.  Consider us friends to listen and encourage you if you struggle because of any kind of discrimination or legal challenges, or are wearied by transitions within your family circles.

YES! WE ARE FANS OF LEARNING AND ACHIEVEMENTS.

  • Confirmation and Reaffirmation of Faith - for youth or adults.  Whether it is a single person or a group, ask the Pastor to  explore with you possibilities for study and/or Membership. Also: we’re happy to schedule events for Graduations and Promotions, Home Blessings and Welcome or Farewell Occasions - in our Buildings or in a place of your choice.

Missional Immersion

Annual Ingathering for St. Vincent DePaul including Food Pantry

October 26 – November 24

This Autumn project is lovingly managed by our United Women in Faith and if you help, they will extend your generosity with a donation raised by their fundraising events.  Either leave your gift at Worship (marked for UWIF / St Vincent) or mail it to Wesley UMC PO Box 9, Ironwood MI, 49938. Please do not bring actual food for this Ingathering.  We have found it is better to pass over the money and let them buy what they know is needed.

Honoring Native American Heritage Month: A call to listen, learn, and build relationships

November is Native American Heritage Month, a time to reflect on the rich gifts and stories of the Indigenous peoples who have shaped the land on which we live, work, and gather for worship. Many of us may not know that our church buildings stand on land that once was inhabited by diverse tribal nations, each with a particular language, culture, and traditional practices. This month offers the church an opportunity to listen, learn, and humbly build relationships grounded in mutual respect, allyship, and support.

Hi Pamela,

Thank you for your congregation’s United Women in Faith (UMW) donation of $22.50 made on 8/28/2024 as part of the Michigan Annual Conference Offering!

Every act of your generosity helps us further our mission. Your giving to HAPI saves lives, provides jobs, and educates young people. You have made a difference TODAY!

We invite you to prayerfully consider an ongoing mission commitment to our vital ministry, Haitian Assets for Peace International Advance 3020490, as part of your congregation’s participation in EngageMI.

EngageMI encourages congregations to shift from transactional “ministry to” models to relational “ministry with” vulnerable people and communities like Mizak Haiti.

Peace,
