Wesley United Methodist has a very long history of choral music, and during the peak years of Ironwood’s population (1910-1960) had both Junior and Senior Choirs that would each year present special choral programs in addition to singing for the worship service.
Today our choir meets on Tuesdays at 4:00 p.m. for practice in the church basement fellowship hall. At Sunday worship, the choir sings both an opening introit and an anthem. Mary Larson, our choir director (in the choir photo she is the person at the left in the first row not wearing a choir robe!), is a retired Ironwood teacher who brings energy and enthusiasm with her to each practice! All are welcome to join us—there is no audition, though an ability to read music at a basic level is helpful. Currently the regular choir is on Winter break and will resume in the Spring.
